| Beschrijving keerzijde | Displayed double-headed imperial eagle with spread wings, each head surmounted by a separate crown beneath a single imperial crown spanning both heads. On the eagle's breast, a rounded orb bearing the value numeral '60' in the field. The surrounding marginal legend, in Latin, records the titles of Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II: RUDOLPH IMP AVGVS DE CRETO. The bold, high-relief eagle is rendered in the characteristic style of late 16th-century Holy Roman Empire coinage. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
George Frederick I ruled Brandenburg-Ansbach and Kulmbach from 1557, and his guldenthaler issues of this period reflect the broader standardization pressures following the Imperial Coin Ordinances of the 1550s and 1560s, which attempted — with mixed success — to bring the fragmented coinage of the German states into conformity. Brandenburg-Franconia's mint output in these years was centered at Schwabach and Kulmbach, the latter having operated intermittently under difficult administrative conditions.
Dav SG#14 places this squarely within the South German guldenthaler sequence, distinct from the reichsthaler standard.
