Obverse description Armored half-length effigy of Archduke Ferdinand II facing right, depicted in three-quarter view wearing elaborately detailed plate armor with a chain collar around the neck. The portrait is rendered in the Renaissance style with fine engraving. A crown appears above the figure, and the denomination is displayed within a cartouche in the exergue below the bust. The encircling legend in Latin surrounds the design.
