| Obverse description | St. Joachim depicted as a pilgrim, standing in the field and dividing the initials S and I (for Sanctus Ioachimus); the date 15-25 is likewise split across the figure. Above the saint, a composite quartered shield bearing the arms of Weisskirchen in the first and fourth quarters, Schlick in the second and third quarters, and at center an inescutcheon with the Bassano arms featuring a lion with a column. The heraldic achievement divides the lower portion of the Latin legend, which commences at 12 o'clock and reads AR DOMI SLI ST E 7 FRA COM D BA. The letter M in COM appears within the O, a characteristic detail of this Schlick family issue. |
