Reverse description A boldly rendered rampant lion passant to the left occupies the central field, rendered in high relief in the Bohemian heraldic tradition. The lion faces right with tail raised, representing the arms of the Kingdom of Bohemia. A circular Latin legend encircles the design, naming the issuing authority Ferdinand as King of Bohemia. The border is beaded, consistent with hammered thalers of the Joachimsthaler type.
