Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of King Willem I (William I) of the Netherlands, rendered in a refined Neoclassical style by engraver Auguste-François Michaut, whose signature appears on the truncation of the bust. The portrait is bold and high-relief, with naturalistically detailed hair curling above the temples and at the nape. The circumferential legend reads WILLEM KONING DER NED G H V L, identifying the monarch as King of the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg, separated by stops. The field is smooth, and the coin is bordered by a fine toothed inner rim.

Reverse description Central device comprises the crowned Dutch royal coat of arms — a quartered shield bearing the rampant lion of Nassau holding a sword and bundle of arrows — surmounted by an elaborate royal crown with cross finial and pearl arches. The denomination numerals '1' and 'G' flank the shield to left and right respectively, while '100 C.' appears in the lower field, indicating the coin's value of one hundred cents. The circular legend MUNT VAN HET KONINGRYK DER NEDERLANDEN runs around the periphery, with the date positioned at the top between two stops. The entire design is framed by a toothed inner border.
