| Descrizione del dritto | Central field features the crowned Dutch lion shield — a crowned cartouche bearing the rampant lion of the Netherlands — flanked on either side by the denomination numeral 'I' and the abbreviation 'Gl' (Gulden). Below the shield, the VOC (Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie) monogram is displayed within an ornamental cartouche with shell-like scrollwork. The circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading 'MO : ARG : ORD : FŒ : BELG : WESTF :' indicating this is the silver coinage of the Federated States of the Netherlands, West-Frisia. Pellet stops separate the legend elements, consistent with Dutch provincial coinage of the late 18th century. |
