Obverse description Central shield bearing the rampant Lion of Holland, armed with a sword raised in the right paw and a bundle of arrows in the left, surmounted by an elaborate Dutch crown. The denomination numerals '1' and 'G' flank the shield at left and right respectively within the inner field. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, separated from the toothed border by a dotted inner ring.
