| 裏面の説明 | Central device consists of an ornate floriated cross pattée with a small rosette at the centre, the four arms of the cross terminating in decorative fleurs-de-lis and flanked by additional floral motifs, all rendered in high relief in the Gothic tradition. The quadrants formed by the cross arms are filled with alternating heraldic devices including fleurs-de-lis and lions passant, referencing the Burgundian and Holland arms. A beaded inner circle encloses the central design and separates it from the surrounding Latin legend. The reverse type follows the standard pattern of the Burgundian Netherlands gold coinage of the early sixteenth century. The mint mark for the Dordrecht mint appears within the legend. |
