Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of Queen Juliana facing right, with elaborately styled hair adorned with a floral tiara, rendered in high relief against a flat field. The truncation of the bust is clearly defined at the lower neck. The circumferential legend reads JULIANA KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN, with a mid-point separator at the base, all within a beaded border.

Reverse description The crowned Dutch royal coat of arms, depicting a rampant lion holding a sword and bundle of arrows on a horizontally striped shield, occupies the central field. The four-digit date is divided by the shield, with the first two digits to the left and the last two to the right above the shield. The denomination numeral '1' appears to the lower left of the shield and the abbreviation 'G' to the lower right. The legend NEDERLAND curves along the lower portion of the coin within a beaded border.
