Obverse description Full-length figure of Saint John the Baptist standing facing, holding the Lamb of God cradled on his left arm; the arms of Brederode appear beneath his right side, and a boar's head is placed between his feet. The saint is rendered in the Gothic style typical of mid-16th-century Low Countries hammered coinage. The figure occupies the central field with heraldic and iconographic elements framing the composition. The surrounding legend is rendered in uncial Latin characters.

Reverse description A short lily cross divides the field into four quarters, each bearing a coat of arms: the arms of Brederode, Mark, Vianen, and Ameide-Nieuwenaar respectively. The cross terminals are decorated with stylized lily finials in the Gothic tradition. The quartered heraldic design is characteristic of the lordship coinage of the Low Countries in the mid-16th century. The surrounding legend, struck in uncial Latin characters, encircles the entire design.
