| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the crowned heraldic shield of Holland, displaying a rampant lion passant guardant within a plain escutcheon surmounted by an ornate crown with foliate finials. The denomination numeral '1' appears to the left of the shield and the initial 'G' (for Gulden) to the right, flanking the arms. The date 1692 is inscribed above the crown. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire design, reading MO · NO · ARGENT · COMIT · HOLL, denoting this as new coinage of the County of Holland. The coin exhibits a milled or grained edge border. |
