| Descrizione del dritto | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Friedrich I, Grand Duke of Baden, depicted with flowing wavy hair and a prominent moustache, rendered in high relief with finely detailed portraiture in the neoclassical tradition. The truncation of the neck is clean and unadorned. The circular legend reads FRIEDRICH GROSHERZOG VON BADEN around the upper periphery, with the engraver's name VOIGT incused at the base of the truncation. The entire design is framed by a fine dentilated border. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Standing full-length allegorical female figure representing Baden, draped in classical robes, facing slightly left, holding a tall spear or lance upright in her right hand and resting her left hand upon a large heraldic shield decorated with a diagonal stripe pattern at her right side. A crowned Baden lion couchant appears at her lower left. Below the figure, the denomination 1. GULDEN is inscribed on a raised exergual line. The circular legend reads 1. BAD. LANDESSCHIESSEN MANNHEIM 28. JUNI 1863 around the periphery, commemorating the first Baden State Shooting Festival held in Mannheim on 28 June 1863. The design is enclosed within a dentilated border. |
