Obverse description Draped bust of Albert Ernest I facing right, wearing a long curled periwig in the late Baroque fashion. A small oval escutcheon bearing the Öttingen arms with the date is positioned to the right of the bust, within the field. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, interrupted by a small star ornament at the top, and is separated from the toothed border by an inner circle.

Obverse lettering ALBERT9ERNEST D G PRINCEPS OTTINGEN
Reverse description Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the central field, bearing an ornate heraldic shield on its breast. The date is divided and placed at the base of the design, flanking the lower portion of the eagle. The circular Latin legend DOMINVS PROVIDEBIT runs along the periphery, separated from the toothed outer border by an inner beaded circle, conveying the motto 'The Lord will provide.'
