| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned arms of the United Provinces, the shield flanked by the denomination value on either side. A privy mark appears at the conclusion of the circumferential legend. The arms are rendered in fine relief, surmounted by an ornate crown, in the manner characteristic of Dutch provincial coinage of the early eighteenth century. The encircling Latin legend identifies the issuing province of West Friesland. |

| Reverse description | A standing female figure, personifying Liberty or the Maid of the Netherlands, leans upon a bible resting atop a column, while her right hand bears a spear surmounted by a Liberty cap. The composition follows the classic Dutch allegorical tradition emblematic of the United Provinces' republican ideals. The figure is rendered in fine relief at center, with the bifurcated Latin motto occupying the field to either side. The overall design reflects the standardized iconographic programme adopted across the provincial coinage of the Dutch Republic. |
