| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing laureate and draped bust of King William III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with long flowing hair falling behind the neck in the manner characteristic of late 17th-century English portraiture. The king's features are sharply defined, with a prominent nose and a truncated neck terminating at the lower obverse field. The circumferential Latin legend reads GVLIELMVS· III· DEI· GRA·, denoting the monarch's name and divine authority, interrupted at the upper right by the continuation of the royal title. The die work reflects the first official bust type introduced for William III's guinea coinage from 1695. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a cruciform arrangement of four crowned heraldic shields, each bearing the arms of the constituent kingdoms: England (three passant guardant lions) at top, France (three fleurs-de-lis) at bottom, Scotland (rampant lion) at right, and Ireland (harp) at left. At the centre of the cross, where the shields meet, a small escutcheon displays the Nassau lion. Four sceptres radiate diagonally between the shields, and the interstices of the cross are occupied by interlinked crowned cyphers. The regnal date 1695 appears divided across the upper field, flanked by the legend MAG· BR· FRA· ET· HIB· REX·, proclaiming William III as King of Great Britain, France, and Ireland. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
