| Beschrijving keerzijde | Four crowned shields arranged in cruciform pattern, separated by crossed sceptres meeting at a central escutcheon bearing the Stuart arms. The upper shield displays the rampant lion of Scotland; the left shield bears the Irish harp; the right shield shows the three passant guardant lions of England; and the lower shield carries the three fleurs-de-lis of France. A royal crown surmounts the entire composition at the apex. The date 17-16 is divided by the upper shield, and the circular Latin legend SCO · AN · FRA · ET · HIB · REX reading around the periphery is bounded by the same milled bead border as the obverse. |
