Reverse description The quartered royal arms of Great Britain displayed on an ornate baroque shield surmounted by a royal crown, the quarters bearing the arms of England (three passant guardant lions), France (three fleurs-de-lis), Ireland (harp), and Hanover (the horse of Hanover and other charges). The shield is flanked by elaborate foliate scrollwork. The date 1765 is divided by the crown at the top of the design, and the abbreviated Latin legend encircles the field, reading M·B·F·ET·H·REX·F·D·B·ET·L·D·S·R·I·A·T·ET·E·
