| Reverse description | Centrally placed quartered shield of arms, bearing England (three passant guardant lions), Scotland (rampant lion within double tressure), France (three fleurs-de-lis), Ireland (harp), and the Hanover escutcheon in the fourth quarter, all surmounted by an ornate royal crown. The date is divided and placed above the crown, split by the central charge, while the full royal titulature in Latin legend surrounds the shield within a beaded border. The shield is rendered with elaborate baroque cartouche-style mantling. |
