| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of King George I facing right, rendered in the fourth and final portrait style employed during his reign, with a ribbon tied through the laurel wreath featuring a prominent loop and one free end falling behind the neck. The effigy, engraved by John Croker, displays finely detailed drapery at the truncated shoulder. The encircling Latin legend is divided by the portrait and reads continuously around the field, separated by median stops. |

| Reverse description | Four crowned cruciform shields bearing the arms of England, Scotland, France, and Hanover, arranged in a saltire formation with the Garter star occupying the central escutcheon. Long crossed sceptres, tipped with national emblems — the rose, thistle, fleur-de-lis, and horse of Hanover — fill the angles between the shields. The divided regnal year appears in the upper angles flanking the uppermost shield, while the encircling Latin electoral title legend runs continuously around the periphery. |
