| 背面描述 | The large numeral '1' dominates the right portion of the field in bold relief, accompanied to its left by a flowering plant spray — identified as yerba mate — rendered in fine detail with broad leaves and blossoms. The denomination GUARANI is inscribed in capital letters along the lower portion of the field, with the date 1976 below in the exergue area. The entire design is executed in proof finish with a deeply polished mirrored field and frosted devices. |

Paraguay struck this gold piece in 1976 under Alfredo Stroessner's dictatorship, a period when the regime actively courted foreign investment and issued prestige coinage partly to project fiscal credibility abroad. The standard circulating guaraní had been decimalized and revalued in 1944, meaning this denomination carried no practical purchasing power by 1976 — the gold version existed purely as a collector and diplomatic artifact.
The Yeoman reference places it among a small run of Paraguayan gold issues from this decade, most produced in limited quantities by European mints on contract.
