| Obverse description | The quartered shield of the Oldenburg coat of arms occupies the center of the field, displaying the traditional heraldic divisions of the Grand Duchy, including the two gold bars on red of Oldenburg and the swan of Jever. The shield is surmounted by a grand ducal crown with elaborate detailing. A circular legend in Latin script runs along the upper periphery, separated from the inner field by a beaded border encircling the entire obverse. |
