Obverse description Central field displays the papal arms of the College of Cardinals, surmounted by the distinctive umbraculum (pavilion or baldachin), the symbol of sede vacante authority, above crossed keys. The shield bears a quartered heraldic device. A partial circular legend surrounds the device, with the inscription referencing the sede vacante period. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered coinage of the period.

Reverse description Full-length standing figure of Christ, nimbed and radiant, depicted in a frontal pose with arms slightly extended, rising above clouds or a globe at his feet. The figure is rendered in the Mannerist style characteristic of early seventeenth-century Roman ecclesiastical coinage. A circular pearl-beaded border frames the design, with the legend VENIET CVM NUBIBUS distributed around the periphery, a reference to the Second Coming from the Book of Revelation.
