Reverse description A frontal enthroned figure of Christ Pantocrator, nimbate and bearded, depicted in the Byzantine tradition, seated on a throne with right hand raised in benediction and the Gospels held in the left hand. The Christogram IC XC appears in the fields to the left and right of the figure, divided by the enthroned image. The overall composition follows the standard Venetian grosso reverse type introduced under Doge Enrico Dandolo, rendered in hammered high relief.
