The saint is shown in full episcopal vestments, holding a crozier in his left hand while his right hand is raised in a gesture of benediction. The field is plain, with the design rendered in the flat, stylized Gothic manner characteristic of mid-14th-century Lombard hammered coinage. The legend encircles the figure within a beaded border. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Two nimbate saints, identified by the surrounding legend as Gervasius (left) and Protasius (right), stand facing one another in frontal pose, each holding a palm frond — the traditional martyr's attribute — in their outer hand. A vertical inscription is placed between the two figures, naming the issuing lord, John Visconti. The composition follows the bilateral standing-saint type common to Milanese grossi of the Visconti period, executed in a flat Gothic hammered style with a beaded border encircling the design. |
