| Descrizione del dritto | Central field dominated by the papal coat of arms of Innocent XI (Benedict Odescalchi), featuring a shield divided into two sections: the upper portion bearing a displayed eagle with spread wings, and the lower portion containing a passant lion over three horizontal bands, all rendered in high relief in a baroque cartouche style. The shield is surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys of Saint Peter, flanked by elaborate foliate and acanthus scroll ornaments. The circumferential Latin legend reads INNOC· XI·P·M· (Innocentius XI Pontifex Maximus), distributed around the periphery. The coin is struck with a bold milled border of fine beading encircling the entire obverse. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse displays the two-word papal motto NOCET MINVS (meaning 'It does harm less') in two lines of bold, deeply incised Roman capital lettering, contained within an ornate baroque cartouche with elaborately scrolled and foliate edges terminating in volutes at the upper, lower, and lateral points. The cartouche occupies the majority of the reverse field, with no date present. The outer border consists of a continuous milled beaded rim consistent with the obverse, reflecting the characteristic style of the late 17th-century Rome Mint. |
