Obverse description Two nimbed saints standing facing, Saints Gervase and Protase, each holding a palm frond and a cross-staff, depicted in full length in Gothic style. Between the two figures, the vertical legend HNRICIPAT is inscribed in the central field. A circular beaded border frames the design, with the saints' names distributed in the surrounding legend.

Reverse description Saint Ambrose, patron of Milan, depicted facing, seated frontally on an elaborate throne flanked by decorative columns, wearing full episcopal vestments including mitre and cope adorned with crosses. He raises his right hand in benediction and holds a cross-staff in his left hand, with small floral or trefoil ornaments in the lower field beside the throne. A beaded border surrounds the design, with the saint's name and city name MEDIOLANVM inscribed in the circular legend.
