| Descrizione del dritto | Within a gothic quadrilobe frame, a standing armored figure of Galeazzo II Visconti is depicted facing front, wearing a visored helmet and holding a shield bearing the Visconti serpent (biscione) device at lower center. To the left and right of the figure, the numerals or letters flanking the body serve as additional identifying marks of the lord. The surrounding circular legend, struck in Gothic lettering, runs along the beaded border and identifies the issuer as Galeazzo Visconti, lord of Milan and Pavia. The hammered flan is irregular in outline, characteristic of mid-14th century North Italian coinage. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A seated frontal figure of Saint Syr (Syrus), patron bishop of Pavia, is depicted enthroned in full episcopal vestments, wearing a mitre and holding a crozier in his right hand while raising his left hand in blessing. The saint is rendered in a formal, hieratic Gothic style typical of Lombard coinage of the 1360s. A beaded inner border frames the central image, while the surrounding legend in Gothic lettering names the saint and the city of Pavia. The hammered flan displays the characteristic irregular edge of hand-struck medieval silver coinage. |
