Reverse description Christ Pantocrator enthroned in full-length frontal majesty, seated upon a jeweled throne with high back, rendered in the Byzantine hieratic style. He is depicted bearded and nimbed with a cruciform halo, wearing imperial robes, his right hand raised in a gesture of benediction and his left hand holding the Gospels. The Greek Christogram IC - XC (an abbreviation of Iesous Christos) appears in the field to the left and right of the figure respectively, divided by the nimbus. The overall composition closely follows Byzantine iconographic conventions, reflecting Venice's deep cultural and commercial ties with the Eastern Empire. The engraving is executed in flat relief with dotted decorative details on the throne and garments.
