| Obverse description | Within a raised inner circle, a large stylized Gothic letter S in high relief, flanked by four pellets arranged symmetrically in the angles. The border between the inner circle and the outer rim is decorated with a series of alternating pointed ornaments or fleurs, giving the coin a characteristic Sienese medieval aesthetic. A circular Latin legend runs along the outer border. |
