| Obverse description | Crowned facing bust of Djuradj II Stracimirovic, depicted in a stylized medieval manner, occupying the central field. The ruler is shown wearing a crown and holding a shield bearing a heraldic device. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin characters reads M DE BALS-A BALSIC, arranged around the periphery of the flan. The coin is struck on an irregular, somewhat clipped flan typical of hammered medieval coinage from the Balkan region. The overall style reflects the influence of Venetian and Ragusan grosso prototypes adapted to local Zetan iconographic conventions. |

| Reverse description | Standing frontal figure of Saint Stephen (Sveti Stefan), the patron saint of Scutari, depicted in a hieratic Byzantine-influenced style with a nimbus or halo surrounding the head. The saint is shown in long robes, rendered in a flat, stylized manner consistent with late medieval Balkan ecclesiastical iconography. The peripheral legend in uncial Latin reads S STEFAN-SCVTARI, identifying both the saint and the mint city of Scutari. The reverse field is worn but retains the principal design elements characteristic of this grosso type. The overall composition closely follows Venetian grosso conventions adapted for the Principality of Zeta. |
