| 正面描述 | The papal coat of arms of Pope Clement XIV occupies the central field, displaying a quartered shield bearing a cross and stars above a fortified tower, surmounted by the papal tiara and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter. The shield is framed by elaborate baroque mantling. The circular Latin legend reads CLEM٠XIV PONT٠M٠A٠III, denoting Clement XIV as Supreme Pontiff in his third regnal year. A fine toothed border runs along the coin's rim. |

Clement XIV's pontificate was defined almost entirely by a single act: the suppression of the Society of Jesus in 1773, under sustained pressure from the Bourbon courts of France, Spain, and Naples. The brief Dominus ac Redemptor dissolved an order of roughly 23,000 members and triggered Clement's rapid physical decline — he died the following year, widely believed at the time to have been poisoned, though no credible evidence has ever confirmed it.
