| Descrizione del rovescio | Saint Ambrose, patron saint of Milan, depicted enthroned facing front, wearing full pontifical vestments including a mitre and episcopal cope rendered in fine detail. The saint holds a whip or scourge in his left hand and a crozier (pastoral staff) in his right hand, both attributes traditional to his iconography on Milanese coinage. Two small kneeling figures flank the throne at the lower left and right, likely representing supplicants or devotees.
