| Obverse description | Central field features a plain cross pattée within a raised inner circle bordered by a beaded ring. The surrounding annular legend, separated by star-shaped ornaments, reads ✠ ⋆ DE ♗ ARITIO ⋆, referencing the city of Arezzo. The design follows the standard Agontano type, with bold, deeply struck Gothic lettering in the outer legend band. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of hand-hammered medieval Italian coinage. |
