The lion displays detailed mane, claws, and bifurcated tail, characteristic of 14th-century Bohemian heraldic engraving. An outer legend in uncial Latin characters, separated by decorative stops, reads GROSSI PRAGENSES, identifying the denomination as the Prague Groschen. The design follows the standard type established under Wenceslaus II at the Prague mint, continued under John of Luxemburg. |
