Reverse description Frontal bust of Christ Pantocrator, bearded and wearing imperial vestments, with a cruciform nimbus behind the head, rendered in the hieratic Byzantine tradition typical of Second Bulgarian Empire coinage. Christ is depicted raising his right hand in blessing and holding the Gospels in his left. The bust is enclosed within a beaded inner border. The Cyrillic marginal legend names the tsar, while the Christological monogram IC – XC appears in the field flanking the bust.
