Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, an ornate shield bearing a bipartite coat of arms divided horizontally: the upper half displays a rampant lion to left, the lower half bears three rosettes. A mitre surmounts the shield, bisecting the surrounding legend at the top. The four-digit date 1506 is divided by the upper edge of the shield. The encircling Latin legend reads IOANNES: EPVS: VRATI, identifying the issuer as Bishop John of Wrocław.
