Obverse description The obverse features the crowned coat of arms of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont displayed in the central field, comprising two quartered escutcheons supported by heraldic figures on either side and surmounted by a princely crown. The arms are rendered in moderate relief with fine engraved detail. A circular legend in Latin script runs along the periphery, reading GEORG HEINRICH FÜRST Z. WALDECK U. P., identifying the reigning prince George Frederick Henry.
