| Obverse description | Central device consisting of the Prussian eagle displayed within an oval cartouche, the eagle depicted with spread wings and turned head, rendered in high relief. The cartouche is surmounted by a royal crown with arches and orb. Flanking the central shield are two symmetrical sprays of oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, occupying the lower field. The legend encircles the design along the rim. The overall composition is characteristic of early nineteenth-century German neoclassical coinage. |
