A circular legend in Latin surrounds the design, reading NON MIHI DO SBD NO IVO DA GLO, a devotional inscription attributing glory not to the issuer but to God. The overall composition is characteristic of mid-16th-century Electoral Palatinate groschen coinage struck at Amberg. |
