Reverse description An ornate plumed tournament helmet, rendered in the South German Renaissance style, placed centrally and dividing the date 1537 on either side within a beaded inner circle. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the design, reading NON MIHI DO SBD NO IVO DA GLO, a devotional inscription attributing glory not to the issuer but to God. The overall composition is characteristic of mid-16th-century Electoral Palatinate groschen coinage struck at Amberg.
