| Beschrijving keerzijde | Plain field bearing the denomination and kingdom inscription arranged in four horizontal lines: the numeral '1' at the top flanked by ornamental rosettes, followed by GROSSUS, REGNI, and PRUSS., with the date of issue centered in the exergual area below. The bold, deeply struck lettering fills the flan in a clean, legible typographic arrangement characteristic of late 18th-century Prussian coinage. |

Frederick II — Frederick the Great — debased Prussian silver coinage aggressively during and after the Seven Years' War, a period when the mint at Königsberg was effectively weaponized to fund military operations through currency manipulation. By the time this groschen type was issued in 1771, Frederick had stabilized the coinage somewhat, but the cumulative distrust from wartime debasement meant these small silvers circulated in a commercial environment still scarred by the preceding decade's monetary damage. The multiple KM variants reflect output across different mints operating under royal license during his reign.
