| Obverse description | Armored bust of Duke Frederick Casimir facing right, enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the date divided on either side of the effigy. The peripheral Latin legend reads FRI. CAZI. D.G. DVX. TESCHINENSIS., identifying the ruler as Frederick Casimir, by the grace of God Duke of Teschen. The portrait is rendered in the Renaissance style typical of Silesian coinage of the period, with visible plate armor detailing on the shoulders. |
