Reverse description Four heraldic shields arranged in cruciform pattern, divided by a long cross with decorative terminals, occupying the central field. The four quarters display the arms associated with the Mecklenburg ducal territories. A beaded inner border encloses the central composition, while the circular Latin legend MON - NOVA - GVST - ROEN. runs along the outer rim, identifying this as a new coinage of Güstrow. Ornamental stops separate the legend segments, consistent with hammered groschen style of the early sixteenth century.
