| 裏面の説明 | The reverse bears a seven-line Latin funerary inscription filling the entire field, recording the birth and death dates of Countess Aemilia Antonia: born at Castle Delmenhorst on 15 June 1614, and died at Leutenberg on 4 December 1670. The text is presented in an epigraphic tablet format without a surrounding border legend, with each line separated by punctuation stops and ornamental markers. The inscription is enclosed within a beaded border. This austere, text-only design is typical of 17th-century German memorial groschen issued to commemorate the deaths of ruling family members. |

Albert Anthony I of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt died in 1669, and this memorial groschen was struck the following year under his successor Ludwig Friedrich I. Funeral and memorial coinages were a deeply embedded practice among the small Lutheran principalities of the Holy Roman Empire — partly pious, partly political, asserting dynastic continuity at precisely the moment a succession was most vulnerable to challenge.
