Reverse description A plain long cross with equal arms extends to the inner beaded border, dividing the central field into four quadrants; the abbreviated inscription BVS · TR · PAX · RO is distributed among the quadrants. A beaded inner border ring separates this inner cross design from an intermediate legend band. Two concentric marginal legends in Gothic uncial lettering run between the inner and outer beaded borders, reading the Gloria in Excelsis Deo doxology in abbreviated form. The outer rim is defined by a further beaded border, consistent with hammered medieval silver groschen of the Alsatian region.
