Reverse description A long cross pattee dominates the field, its arms extending to the inner circle and dividing the design into four quadrants, each occupied by a fleur-de-lis in high relief. A central fleur-de-lis is positioned at the intersection of the cross arms, serving as the focal point of the composition. The cross terminates with splayed, flared ends characteristic of the pattee form as executed in Flemish hammered silver coinage of the mid-fifteenth century. The circumferential legend in Gothic uncial script encircles the design between the inner beaded ring and the outer rim, punctuated by pellet stops. The reverse type follows the standard monetary formula of the Burgundian Low Countries issues.
