Reverse description Central field depicts the Vytis (Pahonia), the mounted knight armorial device of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, showing an armored equestrian figure at full gallop to the left, raising a sword in the right hand and bearing a shield on the left arm. The date (1535 or 1536 depending on die variety) appears in the lower field below the horse. At the bottom of the field, the mintmaster's mark appears within a cartouche. The surrounding Latin legend reads MONETA MAGNI DVCAT LITVA, identifying this as coinage of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, all enclosed within a beaded inner border.
