| Beschrijving keerzijde | A long cross extending to the inner beaded circle divides the reverse into four quarters, with three pellets in two opposite quarters and a fleur-de-lis in the remaining two alternate quarters. The design is characteristic of the first fleur-de-lis issue of James I, combining the traditional Scottish pellet arrangement with the fleur-de-lis motif. A beaded inner circle frames the central design, with the mint and devotional legend occupying the outer field in uncial Latin script. The overall composition is typical of hammered Scottish groats of the early 15th century. |
