| Reverse description | Quartered royal arms of England and France displayed on a shield at centre, divided by a long cross fourchée extending to the beaded inner circle. The first and fourth quarters bear the fleurs-de-lis of France Ancient, while the second and third quarters display the three passant guardant lions of England. The shield is enclosed within a tressure of arches. The reverse legend in uncial Latin script runs continuously around the periphery between the beaded borders, separated by saltire stops, bearing the personal piety motto of Henry VIII. |
