| Beschrijving keerzijde | A quartered royal shield of arms — bearing the fleurs-de-lis of France in the first and fourth quarters and the three passant guardant lions of England in the second and third quarters — is superimposed over a long cross fourchée whose forked terminals extend to the beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four sections. The shield is rendered in fine detail with clearly delineated heraldic charges. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with the reverse legend in Gothic uncial lettering arranged continuously around the outer margin. A mintmark appears at the start of the legend. |
